To tell you about my self would fill a big book because I'm over sixty and I'm a Physicist / Engineer and I'm with the U. S. Air Force.   I am coming up to 30 years with the Air Force.  I am sure that your book would be as big as the one I could write about my self.  So, I would like to tell you a little about myself; just as a HAM Operator.

One of the reasons, I first decided to become a HAM was when I was 12 a friend and I had built a small short wave radio but my father put our radio we had built in the trash can because he got shock from it.

The other reason was because I liked, (Ha Ha) to talking to people.  I played around with a CB when I got older, like most of us but not too much.  One day, I was on my motorcycle, and out in the desert.  Well I got lost, and thank God, it was not long, till I ran into the Sheriff. He was out in the desert because he was looking for some one else who was lost.  He did not know about me.  We talk for a while and then we went back to a town so I would know where I was.  I had lunch with him and his men. Yes, they did find the person they were looking for. The Sheriff was a HAM Operator also and he began to tell me about HAM RADIO and how it could save me a lot of trouble specially (HA HA) if I was going to continue to ride by myself around in the desert.  He told me about how great it was to be able to have a system that could (HA HA) reach out and touch some one and also get help if you needed it.
