Click for more detail... Formerly N6TFS, Bruce Nolte, N1BN is very active on the Amateur bands in Southern California. He is one of the regular monitors on the W6FNO wide-coverage repeater system ( http://www.w6fno.org ) that handles thousands of highway emergencies per year. Bruce speaks to radio clubs and Hamcons on a regular basis, speaking on several topics. He is frequently asked to give his talk "Hams and Highway Emergencies" because it is both unique and delivers an important message on how any ham can use their current radio skills to assist with emergency communications for the motoring public. Bruce is also proud of his "repeater cartography" skills, that is repeater map making. Being the designer of the popular Jun's Electronics repeater maps, since 1989, available in Jun's Culver City, California store ( http://www.juns.com ). And Bruce was the author of the book, "Ham Radio Resource Guide for Southern California" (now out of print). Bruce is also active in public service events with TORRA, Tournament of Roses Radio Amateurs (Rose Parade Communications, http://www.anet.net/~torra ) and the AC110 Communications Team, the Angeles Crest 100 Mile Endurance Run ( http://www.ac100.com ). Bruce is also the trustee of the Tactics For Safety Radio Club, N6TFS. Professionaly, Bruce is active as a director of photography for documentary film and video production.
