Hi, I'm Carl and I live in Lincoln Nebraska. I grew up in Waukegan IL, and moved to Lincoln in 1992. I just upgraded my license to General class this year (2007), and have been having a blast on HF!!

07-2007: Lincoln is home of the first D-Star repeater in Nebraska. The repeater is 380' above the ground on the top of the State Capital Building. Join us local on 145.250 or 442.150 or on the gateway at W0MAO.

09-2007: Off of HF for a short while. Lightning struck our house and took out most of my radios, including my Icom 706MKIIG. I'm looking at replacing it with an Icom IC-7000.

11-2008: It has been a while. I did get the IC-7000. What a great radio!! I had sold it, and now I have it back again. I paired it with an LDG auto tuner. It's working great. I also became a grandparent a couple of months ago.
