Stony Creek Amateur Radio was formed as a tax exempt organization in 2000 by a group of progressive amateur radio operators near Rocky Mount, North Carolina to:

Advocate new membership into the Amateur Radio Community

Mentor the "new" Amateur Radio community

Stimulate ideas for the advancement of Amateur Radio in our area

Ensure flexibility and contingency

Provide reliable communications for our region and its' communities

Participate in DX contests in a traditional competitive manner

Provide assistance to new Amateur Radio operators

Support the other local Amateur Radio organizations
