(7/2005)So, I'm a bit more "radio active" these days. I'm enjoying HF
operation whenever band conditions allow (it has sucked lately eh?) I've also
brewed a couple of batches of home brew beer in the basement in honor of our
fine hobby. I posted the label that my brother designed for all to see (he is
talented isn't he!) I'm trying to get my CW back again, so if you talked to me
via CW that's a rare moment!
Hope to catch you on the air again soon. Best 73s, Doug

Bio I've been a ham since I was 16 years old... long before the internet, and
cell phones. I was styling with the phone patch as a 16 year old. First to have
a "phone" in my car, so to speak. I have a bachelors degree in
electronics, but it feels like I've forgotten just about everything electronics
wise I ever learned. Now my life is all about the application side of
computers. I work for Avid Technology and we make the editing gear used to make
all the stuff you watch on TV and in the movies... also the majority of music
recorded these days is on our ProTools stuff. So, I'm really into "sound
and vision"
I was inactive for several years. Also lived overseas a number of years...
first in the UK, where I had a reciprocal call, and then in South Africa where
my call was ZS6BNR.
I've recently gotten radio active again... You may work me from my
mobile(706MkIIG) or from home (TS940S + TL922A). . Running an R4 vertical and
Carolina Windom 160 at the house.
I just built an Elecraft KX1 CW transceiver and have to admit it was a blast to
build. So, if you hear me QRP on CW, that's the Electraft.
Mostly love to DX and ragchew. Starting to check into some nets now as I
attempt to finally get my WAS and DXCC (albeit slowly)
Thanks for looking! Doug
