I got into ham radio in 1976 thanks to a V.E. in Flint, MI. After upgrading to extra class, I was inactive for twenty years, returning to the hobby in 1998. I enjoy participating in the Sunrise Bible Study phone net on 3912 at 6:00 mornings and occasionally tune in to the Sauerkrautrunde. I enjoy cw and am a member of FISTS (#13992) and SKCC (#5050). Also I am a member of ARRL and the Blue Ridge Amateur Radio Society. Current equipment includes the Kenwood TS-430s with Astron RS-35A power supply and MFJ Deluxe Versa Tuner II. Antennas include the Mosley RV-6-WARC vertical (40m-10m) and Buckmaster off-center fed dipole (80m - 10m). On 2 meters I use a Kenwood TM-271A. Former call signs are WD8MMU, WD4MMU, KB4KQ, and KI4L. I was born and grew up in Michigan but have lived in upstate New York, Texas and South Carolina. I currently reside in Greenville, SC with my wife Joan, our youngest daughter and our chocolate lab. I teach music theory and piano in a local university, am a licensed electrician and lead singing and direct the choir at our church. Other hobbies include reading and studying French and German. 73, Mark Last modified: 2012-01-13 02:41:44, 1177 bytes cached
