The above picture is of myself and the XYL,taken whilst on holiday in Ireland Sept 2003. I have been a licensed Radio Amateur since 1984,and I'm interested in all aspects of the hobby,but in particular the VHF/UHF bands.My previous calls have included GI1JWS,G1JWS,and G0PWS.Although orginally from Northern Ireland,I moved to London in the late 8o's and was active from IO91 square for several years on 2m SSB. BY 1998 I had moved to the Island of Lewis,IO68,where I made many contacts on both 6 and 2 Meters. I am now living in the Highlands of Scotland,in a small village called Carrbridge.It is about 35 KM south of the city of Inverness,and is located within the cairngorm National Park.
