Our Radio Club is allowed to use this special prefix HB9VELO during the month of september 2009. We are active on all bands / modes.

Award:
In order to obtain the Award it is necessary to connect the call HB9VELO in at least 3 bands, during all the month of September 2009. The numbers of the bands will be mentioned in the Award.

UCI ROAD WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS 2009 IN MENDRISIO (SWITZERLAND)

The UCI Road World Championships will be held from 23-27 September 2009 in Mendrisio(Switzerland). The UCI has already approved the circuits. They pass through variousmunicipalities in Mendrisiotto, as the region between Lake Lugano and Balerna is known

The aim of the organisers: to offer a high status and successfulevent for both participants and spectators. According to the experts,the topography offers challenging and technically demanding race circuits.

The organisers are expecting at least 250,000 spectators. Over 100 television stations will broadcast the races worldwide. A TV audience of over 300 million viewers is expected.
