Hello thanks for reading my Bio.I was first licensed as KNØKES at age twelve.

Eight months later upgraded and got KØKES as my permenate call sign.I primarily just work CW but at rare times do get on SSB. At this point in the sunspot cycle I can usually be found on 30 or 20meters.I am located in SARPY county for county hunters and am in grid square EN11XD.I am a member of ARRL,Heart Land DX ASSC. club and also a member of FISTS CW Club #11798.If you are in need of a QSL card please send direct to my QTH.COM address. If you need one in a hurry {US stns}please enclude a SASE.Dx stations a SAE plus $1 US to cover air mail postage.Or if not in a hurry QSL via the ARRL Bureau.I promise to answer all QSL's received in a timely matter. My station equipment consists of an ICOM IC756PRO2 an PalStarAT1500DT tuner and when really necessary an Ameritron 811 linear amp.For keying I use a Logikey keyer cmos 4 by Idiom Press. I usually use my favorite Paddle the Begali magnetic classic or an older Brown.Bros paddle. My antennas are a KLM KT34A tri band beam and a 40 meter full wave loop hanging off of my tower and fed with ladder line to the tuner.I have a Cush Craft D3W for 30/17/12 meters.mounted above the tribander

I am very active as I am now retired since 2002 due to Medical Problems,so I have lots of time for Ham Radio and enjoy working DX or just Rag chewing.I am on the honor roll both mixed and cw,needing only E3 for all countries. I have single band WAZ 20 meter cw #62.15 meter cw #141. and 10 meter cw#63 I really enjoy meeting new friends via Ham Radio 73 cu on the bands JOE
