I started in ham radio with my novice on February 8, 1992 at my dad's
insistence! I had to follow his foot steps in this hobby, k4ws, and my
grandfather, wa4lyf, now a sk.
I do substation maintenance for our local power utility and with my wonderful
wife and three year old son, just don't have the time for my hamming at the
present. I live within "hollering" distance from my dad and he has
stored my radio for me. I love to ski, fish, ride the rapids, and be with my
family and church.
I hope to be active one of these days soon. I obtained my extra class license
on Feb. 9, 1995 and changed my kq4ut call which had initially been kd4jxo to
k1ut. I also love dxing, too.
