My call, K3ORS,was the callsign for the now non existant U.S. Naval Training Center, Bainbridge, MD. Fondly, I remember using the "Old Rusty Sailor" call at the club station located in the Radioman "B" School. I met a lot of great Hams there during my tours of duty both as a student and an instructor at RM "A" and "B" School.
My current hobbies include professional clowning (wife & I are both clowns and we got married as clowns), Civil War research, collecting 1st day covers (stamps), trains - both real and model [N scale], pop-up camping, and just about anything else that perks my interest. Nicknames: Ed, Cookie, Dick, and Shivers D. Clown. Sometimes my XYL has a few other things she calls me but I won't go into that. :o)
I am a retired RMCS, USN. Also the Past President USS Wainwright Veterans Association (DLG/CG-28). I enjoy working special event stations and some contesting. Finally have been able to drop anchor long enough to be able to try for a WAS (got it 2011) and a DXCC Award.
QSL Direct with SASE please, via the bureau, or LOTW. 100% QSL - if you don't QSL, what is the sense of haming??
