Licensed since 2007. KI4YMD -> K3DC -> K4FH. I send out QSL cards and also use LoTW. I've been doing a lot of CW lately. In the winter of 2009 I spent many hours learning the code. Around late summer of 09 I got the courage up to make my first QSO. The summer of 2010 I was not happy ay my progression level and eralized I had only may 45 CW contacts since I started this project. I'm on a mission to make at least one CW contact per day or spend an hour practicing. Most times I can make the contact since I'm at home. When I travel I have to look more to practice to get my speed up. It's been a rought road but I'm hoping by the time I get to 100 or 200 QSOs my speed will be at 13-15wpm. I'm able to carry some conversations on air and I'm able to make quick contacts for DXpeditions. I use an iambic paddle but have never really used a straight key. Maybe when I get better I'll try one out.
If we talk on the air send me your card. No SASE required. I'll send one back.
I've added a online log book feature. I use xlog that runs under Linux. I've written a perl program that converts the xlog file to a SQLite3 database and transfers it to my website. There is a perl on that website that will allow you to view the last 50 entries and do a search. http://www.k4fh.com/cgi/log.pl
