My name is Don. I have been licensed since 1977. Since that time, my wife and four of our children have become licensed. They are: Anita (N4ACJ), Whitney (KE4HDA), Nathan (KE4QAQ), Trey (W4DDJ), and Hannah(W4HEJ). My youngest daughter, Hannah, just got her license in May 2010, at the age of 11. She is the sixth ham in my immediate family.
I enjoy 2 meters and HF. We have several 2 meter FM rigs. Our HF rig is an ICOM 756 Pro II, and we like to work SSB, RTTY, and PSK31. I like DXing, contesting, ragchewing, and paper chasing. Hannah and Trey like to come downstairs and work some HF too. We have a great off-center fed dipole up about 30-40 feet for 10-80 meters. We also have a 10 meter vertical up about 45 feet in a tree to give us vertical polarity for working local stations on ten meters. And I have recently added a 10 meter "bob tailed curtain" oriented NE/SW to help Hannah work some more European countries. I am a member of the ARRL, and am active in the local ARES. I am an Official Emergency Station for the Georgia Section of ARES. We live out in the country and hope to grow an "antenna farm."
Look forward to "seeing you" -- 73 de Don K4GO. Good DX !!!
