Continuously licensed since 1958 first as KN4BYK then K4BYK and now K4YK. Upgraded to Extra in 1979. Am a life member of the ARRL and QCWA.

Over the years I have been active in most facets of the hobby - AM, SSB, CW, RTTY, packet, APRS, ARES, DXing. One of the founders of the Sawnee Mountain Repeater in 1974 and am the only original trustee remaining.

Other hams in the family include wife Val, K4VAL; daughters Gwen, KC4GII, and Beth, now K4BYK; son-in-law Jim, KA4RMZ (now sadly SK).

I am an ordained priest in the International Communion of the Charismatic Episcopal Church and am currently serving as vicar of the Mission Church of St. Peter the Apostle. I also teach English at a local college and serve as a hospice chaplain/bereavement coordinator.
