Thanks to KC5WXC (Wayne), my many years of "wanting" to become a ham has finally happened! He is my online elmer who gently pushed me to study hard and get my ticket.

I also want to give a huge THANKS to W5JE (Charles) for his actually getting me going and continuously giving me priceless info as I start out. His kindness is immeasurable ... there is no way to thank him enough.

My wanting to get involved with ham is not only to speak with folks around the world, but to help the community in times of emergency. I've always been interested in severe weather, and have been in search and rescue operations (albeit many years ago) as a paramedic.

Living in Greenwood, AR, I am raising my two oldest grandkids who are "special needs" kids. I'm an avid Dallas Cowboys fan (we're transplanted Texans), and greatly interested in space flight & the ISS.

Again, my sincerest thanks to KC5WXC and W5JE ... I would not be writing this bio if not for you guys!
