I received my novice license in September of 1968. Two days prior, I received my callsign, WN6LGW, from “The Little Print Shop” in Texas. Those of us who have been around a while remember how this “little shop” had the QSL card market locked up here in America. How they managed to get a stack of sample cards to me, address including my new callsign, prior to receiving my ticket from the FCC, was a testimony to free enterprise. My two great loves in life (not including my wonderful wife and children) has always been radio and making movies. From my operating desk (above) I can do both – work a little DX on 15, edit a movie, let’s see if 10’s open, oh, better get back to that new script. A perfect harmony.
