* Active ragchewer on low-band CW, primarily FISTS CW club freqs of 3558, 7058, 10118, 14058, and 40-meter novice band. Speeds 5 to 20 wpm.

*QRP Homebrewer. Author of No Excuses Transceiver QST Dec 2002, and Phoenix Transceiver CQ June 2004.

* Member Antique Wireless Assoc, and active in winter on 80 CW with a 1929-style station: 3-tube regenerative receiver; MOPA transmiter.

* Professor of electronics technology at Monroe Community College (MI) since1967. Retired June 2005.

* Author of Electronics Pocket Handbook, Electronics For Your Future, Microcomputer Electronics, and several other textbooks.

* Bass singer with Black swamp chapter SPEBSQSA, a barbershop chorus in Toledo, OH
