I'm a recently partially-retired broadcast and media production Chief Engineer (Satellite, Studio, FM, and UHF). Also an ardent touring motorcyclist, advanced open water scuba diver with multiple certifications and hold an Amateur Extra Class license. Also own and operate Custom Video Systems Co. Quite a lot of broadcasting and ham stuff on my website: http://www.brainmist.com I spend all my time on LF/HF. Particular interest is SSTV (analog & digital), PSK, JT65a and all the other digital modes. And, for reasons I can't quite explain, I like Hellscreiber and THROB.
WAS, eWAS, Feld Hell Club: FH-0919, PODXS-070: 967, EPC: 10967, BDM: 1966, ARRL. FYI: My big brother, Chuck is K9PLX. Listen for him. Curious note: My call is in honor of the shortest held broadcast call letters in history. WBHW-TV was to have changed to WRSP-TV in the early 1980s. A screw-up caused the FCC to issue us WZXO-TV. By noon of the same day, we had petitioned the FCC for an emergency change to WRSP-TV and it remains to this day. But we were officially WZXO-TV for 5 hours. Historical trivia. 73!
