I am currently the New Section Manager for the State of Nebraska. I've been a
ham radio operator for some 29 years. Enjoy the hobby tremendously. I currently
hold the Amateur EXTRA class ticket. I held the General Class ticket for 10
years previous to that, and was a novice, previous to that.
I thoroughly enjoy all aspects of the hobby, especially DX, which with my
modest station setup I have talked to well over 120 countries, all using 100
watts and a 3 element beam, I have now added an additional beam the TH7DX up at
50 feet...still only using 100 watts!!..My HF rigs are the Yaesu FT-101EE, and
the Kenwood TS-140S.
I have also started with satellite and PSK-31...what a neat mode!!..I also
really enjoy CW...the purest form of communication....
I have a son Evan who is KCØCWP, who got his license when he was 10 and will be
18 soon. He received his ticket 5 years earlier than I did, due in part to his
exposure to the hobby, and his curiousity.
I am married with 3 kids, the XYL finally got her ticket after 19 years of
marriage, and she is KØGAA which is her vanity call.!.
See you around the bands, upgrade, upgrade, upgrade, recruit, recruit, recruit
and expose somebody new to this wonderful, wonderful hobby.
