Greetings from the New Jersey Shore! Station KB2MMR is located in Avon-by-the-Sea, New Jersey

My main transceiver is a Yaesu FT847, controlled by HRD. Dual SignalinkUSB interfaces provide digital modes on HF and VHF/UHF.

I also operat a packet BBS, KB2MMR-4, and a Winlink2K RMS, KB2MMR-10, on 145.050. These two systems operate at 50 Watts out.

All of this is powered full-time by a homebrew system consisting of a bank of solar panels feeding 2 large AGM batteries totalling 220 AmpHours. Shack lighting is also powered by this system.

The entire shack is able to operate indefinitely without using commercial power.

I am an active member of Monmouth County RACES.
