My name is John and I live in Denver, CO. My hobbies outside of Ham Radio include My Kids (Amanda and Zack), Hunting, Fishing, RC Cars, RVing, ATVing, and Building Computers. I became a Ham in 1997 while living in Columbia, MO.

My daughter now has her ticket KC0JAY and my XYL is KC0YMA.  My son is now working towards his ticket.

By trade I am a Police Officer for the City of Aurora, Colorado. I have spent time as a Volunteer Fire Fighter for the Horry County, SC Fire Department, and a corrections Officer for the Missouri Department of Corrections. I served ten years in the Army National Guard.

I am currently using a Yeasu FT-857 at 100W for HF in the shack. I am using a Hy-Gain 14 AVQ vertical hidden as a flagpole in the front yard. I have a Yeasu FT-857 at 100W in the truck feeding a Bug Catcher. On my motorcycle I am running the Yeasu FTM-10R.
