Welcome to my QRZ page! My name is Jonathan but some times you may see me go by "JD". It is shorter for CW/PSK/Sat work.

I have been a ham since passing my Tech in 2001, upgraded to General on 2/1/2010.

My awards, eDX 25 on 3/14/2010, eWAS on 1/25/2011, ARRL WAS 1/29/2011

Kenwood TS-2000 at home, Antenna: 80m-6m Inv-Vee in the backyard at a 30 degree angle up about 35 feet, 2m Egg Beater, 70cm Egg Beater with SSB Electronics preamp
Yaesu FT-90R at home for local repeater use on a Comet GP-3 antenna (also a travel rig)
Yaesu FT-817nd for portable setup (used alot during travel) with End Fed Zepp or 20m Ham Stick.
Yaesu FT-8900R in the mobile.
Yaesu VX-7R for portable use and sat with Arrow Yagi.

I like 80m, 40m, 20m and OSCAR Sats. I operate on OSCAR sats at home on the eggbeaters or portable with my VX-7R and Arrow Antenna Yagi.
