Hi and welcome to my QRZ page. The picture here shows me at the K8DAR   ham station.   I was licensed on Dec. 7 2006, and upgraded to General shortly thereafter. I upgraded to Extra class on March 1, 2008.  My sister and I are homeschooled, and are very active in our local homeschool group.   I belong to the Menominee D.A.R. Boys & Girls Club, and a member of the Menominee D.A.R. Radio Club.  I am also a charter member of the rapidly expanding international young ham group Y.A.C.H.T.  the Young Amateurs Contest Ham Team, http://www.wd8dx.com/yacht.html and belong to our youth church group called the Royal Rangers. 

I have a brand new Yaesu FT 450 hf rig, and a 20 meter wire, which still needs to be returned to its original position.   I hope to activate my hf rig, and get back on the bands as soon as my antenna is back in operation.   I do have a dual band radio, and can access Echolink via our local repeater, node #481872.  I will try and be available for the Echolink Youth Roundtable on Fridays at 8pm as time and other obligations permit. 

This picture shows me being interviewd by WLUC-TV of Marquette, MI for a special feature on the occasion of the 1st anniversary of the Menominee D.A.R. Club. ham station.  We operated a special event K8D in conjunction with that event.
