KivcRadio AM 1700-Albany Oregon-Classic Hits of the 50's,60's and 70's.

My name is Gerald R.Gaule,I am a retired radio broadcaster/engineer(over 35 years)but I operate Amateur Station(A/E). I am involved in The RecordingIndustry(as a hobby)but did for many years. I produce/engineer/a&r/band manager/tour manager/tour scheduler,I am also a BMI Member

as a Song Writer/Composer. I play Drums/Percussion/The Theremin/Moog and Others. I love to cook,camp,collect music.

I am involved as a Broadcast Consultant(for free)to LPFM,LPAM,Part-15 stations and engineer for free. I love Amateur Radio(SSB Phone is my main mode)and operate on 20,40 Meters and locally/regionally on2 Meters(146.535-Simplex no PL). For Equipment I have a ICOM HF(160-10)IC-707/with 100 Watts barefoot,MFJ Versa Tuner MFJ 941-E(manual)II,homebrew slinky antenna(inside)80-6 Meters. Alpha HF J-Pole(75'),LDG IT-100 Auto Tuner, I also like to Ragchew.

MFJ 260 C/300 Watt Dummy Load,Alpha-Delta 4 position Antenna Switch(w/surge protector),Yeasu FT-2500M 2 Meter Radio(at 5 Watts Only)I can hit 5-9 Repeaters from inside using aLarsen Magmount 2 meter mobile antenna/mounted on a metal surface.

I operate mostly on The DX HF Bands,I do not contest but enjoy making contacts. I have spoken to over 190 Countries. Among many things I enjoy is operating my small Part-15 FCC Approved Broadcaster on AM 1700.

My Equipment is a Mackie-DFX 12 Mixer Board,Midland NOAA/S.A.M.E.WX Alert with EAS,A older DELL Celeron Windows XP Computer with 1 TB that was installed by my wife that is a IT expert over 25 years as a hobby. AM 1700 Main transmission unit is a LPB(Vintage)AM Carrier Current System(30 Watts)
