Here are a few YouTube videos I have:
I have several radios, but my main radio is an Icom
IC-756PRO. The amplifier is a Heath-kit sb200 600 watts. My tuner is a
Ten Tec 229 good for 2KW. The antennas are a Mosely TA33 at 55ft. on a
Rohn 35 tower. The rotor is a brand new Yaesu G-450A. Also using a G5RV
up 60 FT., and a Cobra inverted V up 70 FT. I operate SSB on 160M. 80M, 40M, 20M, 17M, 15M, 10M, 2M,
and 70CM. My favorite bands are 20M, 40M, and 80M I enjoy rag chews and
nets, but I really love chasing DX. I have not done much contesting,
but I am very interested in becoming a contester. I was born in 1968 at St. Luke's - Roosevelt hospital in
Manhattan, New York. I grew up on the lower east side of Manhattan
(Alphabet City) When I was about 12 years old, I got into short wave
radio. I then got into CB when I was 14 years old. The other CBers
thought I was a girl at first because of my voice at the time with
puberty and all. At the age of 21, I became a truck driver with a class
A CDL and all endorsements for doubles/triples, tanker, and HazMat. I
ran over the road in a sleeper truck for the first 4 years and have
seen all 48 states and much of Canada. I then took a job with Yellow
Freight and worked for them for 10 years. I got interested in ham radio
in 1997 through a co - worker and a good friend at Yellow Freight. It
was N3EYQ, Paul Hintz who directed me in the right direction for ham
radio.
