Past Calls : KB4ICJ, DA1AP, KI4TAW DXCC #35753 WAS #54137 SKCC #4427 I was first licensed in 1983 as KB4ICJ. My Elmer was N5OM Archie Brown. He helped me get my first rig which was a Heathkit SB-102 and an Inverted V. I enjoyed the hobby very much but not too long after getting my ticket I was re-assigned to Sembach Airbase in Germany and eventually fell out of the hobby. I retired from the Air Force as a Joint Enlisted Terminal Attack Controller in 1993 and started another career as a network engineer. In 2007 I decided to get back into Amateur Radio and was re-licensed as KI4TAW. Since that time I have obtained an Extra Class license and now operate as KI4DT. My rig is a Yaesu FTDX 5000, TenTec Centurion Amp, Ameritron ATR-30 tuner and a MosleyTri-Bander on a 40ft crank-up Alumi-Tower. I operate a Yaesu 857 and a Atas 120A when mobile.
I consider myself very fortunate as I live in an area that has a wonderful group of Hams. We meet for Breakfast every Saturday at the Golden Corral in Brandon at 7:30am -----so if you ever find yourself in Brandon at that time -----come in and join us.
Hope to see you there or on the air.
73 Donnie
