Hi I am Shane KI4M. I was first licensed as a Techician in 1995. I upgraded several times and received my Extra in 1997. I have held several calls through the years including: KE4VWZ, KU4BD, NC4SA, and now KI4M. I maintain telecommuncation tower sites during the day and play ham radio as well. I currently have a UHF repeater located on Hibriten Mountain in Lenoir NC (444.1250 MHz + 118.8 Hz) and one on a mountain near Sparta NC (444.4250 MHz + 162.2 Hz). The repeaters are open to any and all amateurs for use. E-mail me with any reception reports or concerns. As of last year I have been drawn into another facet of our hobby thanks to a co-worker of mine. I now have a National NC-300 boat anchor receiver and a E.F. Johnson Valiant transmitter. Many thanks to W4ZO for getting it back into tip top shape for use. Now I am in the search for an old broadcast transmitter for conversion. So as you can see my interest ranges from the latest digital communcations modes in amateur radio to some of the best sounding older modes. Life is too short to enjoy just one! 73 de Shane KI4M Last modified: 2012-03-30 00:59:31, 1130 bytes cached
