1st the young man in the pic was and will forever be my Brother Terry who loved to listen to ham radio, The JARS club and other hams who made his night every night at 7pm. Icom 735, w/ MFJ -auto tuner(993) is my Base unit, A Yaesu ft-7100 2m-440(also a base unit) A Icom 751A , A Icom 706 w A LDG Z-100 Auto Tuner as a to go kit w/ an Eagle 1 antenna (10-160 meters) A Radio Shack htx-242 2 -meter my dad (KF4JPN ) gave me once i got my ticket It's hooked to a TinyTrack 3+ I use it mobile for APRS/ w GPS, A Kantronics KPC-3 Plus (TNC) w/ a mini laptop to do packet and Winlink, Winpack, (home / mobile). I also have a vx-170 yaesu (handheld)and a vx-6r yaesu (handheld) an ICOM-7000 HF for mobile, I also have a 2m antenna on my mountain bike when i go off road( hey I'm a ham, I am) lol, . As for antennas (base) I have a CushCraft R-7 about 25-ft up, I also have an 80 meter dipole (invert. V) about 50 ft up. As for my mobile I have a HV-7A 6m-10m-15m-20m-40m and a 2m-440. Just added to my collection of radios I have an Hammarlund-HQ110A radio - receiver 2m-160m ( tube type) made in Mars Hill NC in 1950's Great Shape, Had it re-tuned by (Glenn Scoot-WA4AOS) great Guy, He's your guy if you need an old radio fixed right. I'm also The Emergency Communications Coordinator at the American Red Cross Cape Fear Chapter, also an ARES member and Assist. for NI4SR (EC for NewHanover County) . Also a member of the Wilmington VHF club. I also have started learning and using PSK31, and Winlink2000, APRS, And a big fan of the one and only NC4BJ.
