I was first licensed in October 1987 as a Novice. My original call was KC4BZS. I upgraded to Tech, whereby my call was changed to N4TKS. A few years after upgrading to Amateur Extra, I was able to get the call of a friend that had passed away. I am a Scoutmaster of a Boy Scout Troop where we have several members who are hams. I spend a lot of time on the road in Central Florida where I listen to VHF/UHF repeaters. I also have 10 meter FM and 6 meter FM in the car for those rare times when those bands are open. My son is a ham also; his call is KI4UXW. Be sure to say hello if you hear either one of us on!
