I was born in this small town in 1939 and have pretty well spent all my life here. I got my first licence in 1986 and pretty well did all cw. Sometimes my son KE4LZS would help me wiyh a contest. My station is a Kenwood TS450/SAT. I have three antennas all working together. Don't ask me how that works but it makes my antenna tuner happy on most bandsI use a Signalink USB interface.No extra power of anykind.

I found out that my first wife had alzhimers in about 1990. In the mid 90's I had to put all my equipment away and give all my attention to her. I got eveyrthing out and made my first PSK31 contact on Dec 20 2005.I am now a lover of weekend contests. Never got close to winning but still love the RTTY and PSK contests. I never heard of JT65HF till December 2011. Now I love that mode. I also work some of the other digital modes.

When I first got my licence's there were a few ham ops around here,but there are none now as far as I know. I am pretty well a loner at this hobby here.
