I was first licensed on 02/04/92 - Technician Class. My call sign then was N5YVA. After several years of having an Advanced Class ticket, I finally upgraded to Extra Class in June 2000 and received my vanity call "KO5G". After my Extra Class upgrade I was encouraged to become a Volunteer Examiner. So now, I help with a local group about once a month.

My new found interest is the digital modes such as: PSK31 & RTTY. I dabble from time to time on SSTV as well. You will normally find me on 30 meters around 10.140 MHZ USB. I have joined the 30 Meter Digital Group in which they are trying to promote the the digital activity and use of 30 meters. This is a great community of hams. My member number is 30MDG #0094. Currently my station setup: Icom IC 756 PRO III with a Heil PR40 Mic./ Antenna is a Multiband loaded coil inverted V dipole.
