Click for more detail... I enjoy operating on any ham band - as long as it's RF, it's good. I've been serving as Treasurer of 10-10 International Net since 1994, and I've been a speaker at the Dayton Hamvention and the ARRL Southwest Division Convention on numerous occasions. I'm a Life Member of ARRL and also hold memberships in various other organizations. I've ragchewed, chased DX, contested, worked nets, been involved with RACES, done public service events, operated at field day, and more - and I want to keep doing them all! There's nothing about this hobby that I have found that isn't fun, and the people I've met and friends I've made are what really make it all worthwhile. My current base station is a Yaesu FT-2000D, with a Cushcraft A3-S beam on a small 30' tower. I also have mobile rigs in my cars. I change rigs often because it's always fun trying out new technologies and learning new things. That's what makes ham radio so great, there is always something new to learn. I also enjoy amateur astronomy and find that many hams are also interested in astronomy. After all a telescope is just an antenna for a different wavelength of electromagnetic radiation!
