Hello, my name is Jessica and I'm 14 years old. I recently received the vanity callsign KX8A (previously KD8BWR) after upgrading to Amateur Extra in June 2009.

Many thanks to my older brother Joe (N8OY) for getting me into this hobby.

My favorite parts of ham radio are DXing, contesting, and QSLing. Most of my operating is on CW, but I am still trying to get my code speed up. My goals are to get the DXCC and WAS awards.

I share my station with my brother. We have an IC-718 running 100 watts, a G5RV in the attic, and a Hustler 4BTV vertical.

I am also a member of ARRL, WWYC (Worldwide Young Contesters), YACHT (Young Amateur Contest Ham Team), and ARROW (my local club).
