I don't think so!!! With such setup QRP operation is fantastic, especialy CW with two radios. So time to time I'm playing this game. And playing with a big pleasure. My biggest THANKS to Petras LY1PM and Oleg (still no call) for this wonderfull position. No doubt this is one of the best position in Lithuania today and everything was done because of very hard and countinuous work of Petras and Oleg. Guys, I am your deptor. Due to the time limits and some distance to operating position (100 km from my location) I am "on the air" mostly in the big contests. At home I have a simple multiband vertical for 40 - 10 m bands + IC-735 and a lot of local "surprices" - two high voltage lines just some 200 m from the antenna, a lot of PCs, modems and so on and so on. Bands are just terrible but sometimes I'm trying to give some points away to the stations I can hear, mainly CW with a manual keying because there is no rush at home :) And because I like it. Also I am QRV on VHF bands 6m to 23cm, but very very rare, mostly in summer time when I have a possibility to go out of the city. Some 30km south from my location I found a nice place with 262m ASL - nice place for the Field Day operation. Also time to time I am a guest operator at superb LY2WR position - thanks to Rytis LY4U (s.k.) and Arvydas LY3BF. Now hope to be there more often. VUSHF equipment: IC-910H - three bands, IC-475H, IC-275H (this one owning together with my friend LY3NL), 17 el yagi 10m boom and 13 el 3.2WL yagi for 2 meters band, 23 el for 70cm, 23 el yagi for 23cm, Honda 3KVA generator. PAs for 2m and 70cm under construction. Have more less everything I need except time. As many of us. QSL manager of LY0HQ, LY1PM and LY2WR. Last modified: 2011-10-19 11:04:48, 3023 bytes cached
