Active on 2m, 4m, 6m, 70cm, HF and APRS from home and mobile and is a member of Bolton RAYNET Group. A keen portable operator, and may often be heard from Winter Hill during contest sessions. Currently working towards my Intermediate Licence, and developing the skills and equipment with which to repair and maintain my fine collection of classic sets,(known locally as "the saviour of old radios"!). My other interests include weather satellite picture reception, antenna construction and boating. Mac's son Patrick is also licensed (M3VPY).
