I have been hamming it up since 1977, and had been GENERAL-ly speaking until 1999 when I upgraded to Extra Class. I am a "KNOW CODE" Extra and I operate CW, Phone and RTTY on HF and 2-Meters and 440 on occasion. I also use Echo Link to talk to fellow hams on occasion. The rig's are a Yaesu FT-920 with a Dentron MT-3000A antenna tuner and a MLA-2500 amplifier. I also use a Yaesu FT101E Station. On HF I use a Butternut HF9V Vertical and a Alpha Data DX-CC antenna that works well. . For CW I use a Vibroplex Original Key, a Bencher Paddle and one of several TenTec keyer's For Voice on HF I use a Heil Gold Series Microphone or a Yaesu MD-100 on the FT920 Rig, on the Yaesu FT101E I use a Sure Mic I am a member of the Charleston Amateur Radio Society (C.A.R.S.), QCWA, 10-10 International, ECARS, and IMRA and a few other groups. I am a ARRL and a W5YI VE.
