I enjoy Amateur Radio very much. I met many old friends (oh yes, from my Class D days) and new friends. In particular, I like the Public Service end of my relationship with Amateur Radio.

I am presently AEC for the Amateur Radio Emergency Service in Saratoga County NY and assist as liaison for the Adirondack-Saratoga Red Cross Chapter in my area. We are looking for donations of two-way equipment -- 47.62mHz gear and Amateur radio equipment to establish a communications connection with the area.

For 20 years, I was involved as Director of Volunteer Emergency Services for a local city Civil Defense office (now called Emerg.Mgmt.) and very much enjoyed the time spent there. I look forward to continuing my service in assisting in this area, with RACES, and ARES.

Of course, no matter what I volunteer for, it WILL involve Amateur Radio in some way.
