Ham since 1954 (WN7WUG)at age 17. Retired USN (CPO - first RM then IS
(intelligence specialist) 1981. Merchant marine RO retired 2002. Been said can
work DXCC just talking to myself (former calls: W7WUG, K4UDP, TF2WEB, CS3AC,
G5EOW, A4XYO, JY3WT, KZ5CQ, HP1XCQ, KL7GGU, KL7ITU). Now living life of luxury
drinking cheap beer and getting fat(er). Just about everything in shack glows
in the dark (transistors are great for things like guidance systems in nuclear
rockets where you only need to use it once then blow them to hell). Currently
running Johnson Viking II-CDC, R-390A, R-388/51J3, Gonset GSB-100, HB linear.
Also running TS-830S xcvr and JRC NRD-525 rcvr. Live in backwoods of northern
Florida and high interest in VLF, especially if they can get a ham band down
there. Live on large lake & next project is playing with underwater antennas on
VLF.
