All QSLs will be responded 100% via whatever method they were received. Directs are answered within one week. Active with LOTW and EQSL.

Please call me during the contests.

***VP9I*** I will be handling the QSL requests for the ARRL DX SSB contest from March 3 & 4, 2012 ONLY. Please send SASE for stateside or SAE and 1 Green stamp / or current IRC for international requests. QSL requests without appropriate postage will be answered via the bureau.

N6WIN/VP9 has been uploaded to LOTW (be sure to log me as /VP9 or you will not get a match in the LOTW database). Please send SASE for stateside or SAE and 1 Green stamp / or current IRC for international requests. QSL requests without appropriate postage will be answered via the bureau.

I was first licensed in 1989 at the age of 11. My Dad, N6EED got our family interested in ham radio. By 1991 my parents, especially mom - KM6LY, had helped me study enough to attain my Advanced class license. I enjoy HF contesting as my primary ham interest.

I am now operating from my home qth which consists of a 54' LM354HD with installed M2 Orion holding from bottom of mast up: F12 C31XR, Cushcraft A3WS w/30M, and Cushcraft XM240. Below these is an 80m inverted-v and a 160m inverted-L. This antenna configuration is being driven by an two Elecraft K3's and an Acom 2000A / Alpha 78. Antennas are selected with a Top Ten auto band decoder sourcing a tower base mounted Array Solutions Six Pack. Filtering is provided by W3NQN band pass filters.

Checkout http://s192.photobucket.com/albums/z90/tjcoker/N6WIN%20LM354HD/ for my tower install project, password is "73".

Today I have put into operation a Software Radio Lab QS1R using a Clifton Labs Z10042A 10dB amplifier which is connected to a Pixel RF Pro-1A receiving loop, mounted about 25' off the ground attached to my roof.

You may find the spots through your favorite method of connecting to the reverse beacon network, or here:

http://www.reversebeacon.net/dxsd1.php?f=0&c=N6WIN&t=de

I hope that some of you find it interesting.

Jay, W2IJ, had been kind enough to let me use his station as my primary contest/dx QTH. W2IJ has been spending a lot of time answering all the questions a newer ham can think of. Jay has taken me under his wing as my Elmer. Charlie, W6KK has been a great influence in helping me learn the required skills for contesting. His QTH has provided me with some great operating memories.

I have worked as N6WIN/P4 and P40TC from Aruba during the end of June and beginning of July, 2002. I was able to make 900+ QSOs during a week of casual operating from P43JB's residence. Please QSL direct (SASE) or via the bureau.

The pinnacle of my humble HF contesting was setting the San Bernardino County record during the 2002 California QSO Party. I operated SOHP from W2IJ's qth. That had been a goal of mine since I first entered the CQP in 1990 as a SOLP Novice at the age of 12. During the 2010 CQP I was able to set a new SBER county record with the below setup, thanks for all of the QSOs. In 2011 I joined the K6Z Multi-Multi County Expedition at W6PH's Inyo county QTH where we were able to set a new all time class record.

CU in the contests!

73, Tim.
