My XYL Kathy, KD7OTY and I, own EmComm Products LLC - a small design and manufacturing company located here in Fossil, Oregon. We build antenna systems and other communications related products for Amateur Radio, MARS, CAP, USCG Aux., government, military and commercial customers, worldwide; with particular emphasis on man-portable combination U/VHF and HF/NVIS antenna systems.

I was first licensed in 1959 at age 9 in my native state of Indiana. I am a former U.S. Army Signal Corps operator, serving in Vietnam, a former member of the U.S.C.G., a former police officer, paramedic, emergency services dispatcher and county emergency programs coordinator. I am the former ARES EC, Lake County MT, former ARES AEC/Training, Yamhill County, Oregon, former Director of Communications, MT Wing, Civil Air Patrol, U.S.A.F. Aux.

My interests include Amateur Radio in general and EmComm operations in particular, QRP field ops., CW, rag chewing, flying and of course, antennas. I am a member of ARES/RACES Oregon Section, District 3 and an Oregon section OES. Rigs include an FT-857D and FT-840.
