The Central Oregon DX Club was established in May, 1989, when a group of local
hams met for lunch at Jake's Truck Stop in Bend. The club became ARRL
affliated on June 24th, 1989. Today the club continues to grow and is extremely
active, coordinating the annual 7th-Area QSO Party (7QP), participating in the
annual ARRL Field Day event, and traveling each year to put rare
Modoc County on the air for the California QSO Party (as NE6LE).
Many club members participate in major contests such as CQWW, ARRL DX,
ARRL Sweepstakes, various Sprints and many others, as well as holding
locally-sponsored community events such as "Kids' Day".

regularly and features news about the club and upcoming events, as well as
links to other Amateur Radio websites.
