Hello! Here is shot (11/08) of the N8MH shack in the bottom level of our home. Digital satellites have been my passion since about 1990. Current equipment in the shack includes a TS-2000X (modified for 38k4 packet) and a "heavily modified" TS-790A (it too is used for 38k4 packet). TNCs include the TAPR DSP56002EVM, the AMSAT/TAPR DSP-93, Paccomm PSK-1T, and a couple of Paccomm Sprint-2 units. Other rigs in the shack are an IC-R1500 receiver (the PCR-1500 with control head), an FT-817D, an IC-W32A, and a Kenwood TH-F6A. I operate satellites on modes U, V, L, and S. You might see my homebrew track box, called SAEBERTrack, on the top shelf. It was the result of several years of building and designing trackers with my elmer Gene, KC4SA. The name SAEBERTrack came from a combination of his call (SA) and my former call of KC4EBR (EBR). The second generation tracker has been in service for nearly 15 years now. You can read about SAEBRTrack here: http://marklhammond.googlepages.com/saebrtrack Currently I'm using an AMSAT LVB Track box--it works dandy. I was pleased to assist with satellite operations during the K4T expedition to Dry Tortugas in March 2010. We had a ball! Look for me on AO-51 and (occasionally) AO-27, FO-29, VO-52, SO-67, and HO-68! 73 de Mark, N8MH Command Station for AO-51, AO-16, and IO-26 Last modified: 2011-01-21 23:36:07, 1456 bytes cached
