Professionally, I am the Chief Financial Officer for a community bank, responsible for accounting, finance, information technology, operations (deposit, loan) and human resources. I am also a CPA as well as an IT professional - both areas reflect my strong interests in communications and information management. I have been an amateur radio operator since 1979, when I received my Novice license. My original callsign was KA4IWQ, which I held until 2005 (Novice through 13 wpm General). When I received my Amateur Extra license in May 2005, I changed my call sign to WF4Y. Recently, I changed my call sign to N9RM to get a 1x2 with my initials in it. call it a mid-life crisis. I am active on HF and VHF/UHF, and I particularly enjoy chasing DX on SSB. Currently I am running an ICOM IC-706MKII, a Yaesu 8900 and a Yaesu VX-7R. My "home brewed" HF antennas consist of a multi-band dipole and a multi-band longwire - both inside my attic. I also operate a VHF/UHF ground plane antenna - also inside my attic. I have been married to my wonderful wife Debbie since 1977, and I have two terrific twin sons, Matthew and Andrew. Matthew joined the amateur radio community in July 2005 as a new Technician, KI4KZU. Along with amateur radio, I am also actively involved in distance running, cycling, professional photography, home audio/video and personal computing. 73's and I hope to QSO with you soon, Rick, N9RM Last modified: 2011-01-21 23:22:09, 1460 bytes cached
