Bill Scott, NM4K has been a licensed ham since 1980 receiving his extra class
desigination within 14 months of entering the ham radio community. Bill's has
been in the Real Estate, Building and Development business in Louisville, Ky.
since 1969. Bill's interests are DXing and some contesting. He is a member of
the ARRL and DCDXA (Derby City DX Association)and the KCG (Kentucky Contest
Group). The attached picture is of his home station. Antennas include a
Tennadyne T8, 8 element Log Periodic @ 50',IAC Double Bazooka for 75 Meters up
45', IAC Double Bazooka for 40 Meters up 45'in Sloper Configuration, IAC Double
Bazooka Shorty Version up 90' for 160 Meters. Six meters is currently a Sigma
6, but will be replace with a 3 element beam. The station radios are as
follows: FT1000mp Mark V Field, Icom 765 , TR-7 station, TR-4 station, Yeasu
726R 2m/70cm/6m, and other assorted vhf radios used for packet and repeater
use. Amps include Drake L-7 and L-4 for HF and Mirage B1016 for 2m & Mirage
A1015 for 6m. Bill's other interests include competitive shooting, both pistol
and shotgun, hunting, fishing, and digital photography.
