Radio Club of Kauniainen is located in south Finland, 15 kilometers from
Helsinki. The station and the club are located in a school building in the city
of Kauniainen. We are a happy mixture of rag chewers, contesters and
dx-operators.
Activities: The finnish radio amateur league bulletin (SRAL) is transmitted and
read in turn from this station on 80, 40 and 2 meters. We do some half serious
contesting mostly in CW and RTTY and of course dxíng (mostly in SSB) goes on
quite frequently from the station. We have worked well over 300 DXCC-countries.
From time to time we are active in numerous events and have a packet cluster.
It is also possible to hear our station on the amateur satellites...
We have at least one club night per week, every thursday from 1830. You are
more than welcome to come meet us and see (use) our station, if you are in the
Helsinki area.
