The International Police Association is a worldwide club for active and retired police officers. The IPA has its own device, shown in Esperanto, witch marks the international manner: SERVO PER AMIKECO, witch means: service through friendship. The IPA was established in England in 1950. The founder was Arthur Troop. The association is based on its offical articles, witch stands for communication, social contacts and aid between all members without any distinction to rank, race, colour, language, religion or political conviction. Worldwide the IPA has almost 300.00 members in more than 62 countries.

The IPA Radio Club, Dutch Section issues 2 awards for radio-amateurs and SWL's:the "WINDMILL AWARD". Required are:3 confirmed contacts with Dutch IPARC-members. No band or frequency restiction. Costs are $ 6,- or € 5,-. And the "DUTCH POLICE REGION AWARD". You can obtain this award in 3 categories. First obtain A, than B and finely C. For the A award you will need 10 regions, for the B award you will need 20 regions and for the C award with IPA crest with call and number you will need all 26 regions. You may use the maximum of 2 joker-stations: 2 IPARC-PA members or PI4IPA or PA30IPA. Contacts after 01-01-2001 are valid. No repeater contacts!!Costs are: For A and B: $ 6,- or € 5,-. For C: $ 36,- or € 30,-.

The aplication for all these awards must contain a list of the contacts and claims must be substantiated by two radio-amateurs and send to the award manager Tjerry, PA4T via pa4t@veron.nl.

For both Dutch awards the PI4IPA QSL cardis valid 1 point and the PA30IPA QSL card 2 points. Both QSL'sare also valid for other internationalIPARC awards. More information can be found on www.iparc.nl andhttp://iparc.ipa-nederland.nl or on several other IPARC sites.

PI4IPA will be on the air every Monday at 14.00Dutch timeon 14,050 MHz in CW. And in the IPARC-DE net every Sunday at 11.00 German time on 7,184 MHz in LSB. All plusminus QRM.

Previous special call signs were: PA6IPA used during the 12th World Congress in Rotterdam 4-10 August 1988. PA30IPA due tocellibrate the 30th anniversary of IPARC-PA from October 10th till November 8th 2009.
