VA7ANTA is a special event callsign for Antarctica activity week from Feb 19 to Feb 25, 2007. Antarctica activity week is sponsored by WAP (World Wide Antarctic Program) to promote world wide interest in Antarctica. Antarctica activity week is a world-wide event with almost 100 stations involved all over the world with special event callsigns. I prefer direct QSLs but you can QSL via the bureau as I QSL IMMEDIATELY via the bureau but you can expect to wait months or even years by the time the bureaus get the card to you. Further, if you send direct please enclose a SASE with either the appropriate Canadian postage, a current IRC or one green stamp for US stations (1 US dollar) and two green stamps for overseas or 1 current IRC. Otherwise the VA7ANTA card will be sent to you via the bureau. The WAP number for VA7ANTA is WAP-70, for awards. In subsequent years during the Antarctic actifity week work VA7AAW if you still need WAP-70!
