UPDATE APRIL 26, 2012. Most of the backlog in direct QSL cards has been cleared, maybe 100 left to catch up on. Still way behind in responding to bureau QSL's but I will be getting to those shortly. Sorry for the delay.

STAMPEDE CITY AWARD. For Stampede City Award questions ask Mike at e-mail VE6TC@rac.ca. General questions: VE6AO@rac.ca  Check out the club website for details about the Stampede City Award at:

QSL INSTRUCTIONS

QSL Manager and QSL Question: VE6TN@shaw.ca. The VE6AO is a beautiful full colour QSL of the Calgary Stampede rodeo.

DIRECT QSL. Please include an SAE and $2 USD "Green Stamp" or an IRC to cover the cost of return postage. Postage rates have increased and the US dollar value has decreased so $1 USD doesn't cover the cost anymore. DX Stations please provide $2 USD or an international IRC. For those of you new to QSL'ing, a green stamp means a $1 USD bill (money is green). An IRC is an international reply coupon which can be bought at a post office and is similar to sending a money order certificate. Green stamps are easier.

If you have access to Canadian stamps then an SASE should have a $1 "Canadian" stamp for USA ora $1.70 for DX. USA Stations, PLEASE DO NOT use USA Postal stamps as they are not good for use in Canada. If you did send a US stamp on an SAE then I will try mailing it but its a gamble whether the Canadian post office will let it through, usually 50% of them make it through and 50% are returned to me. If it is returned I include it in the next bureau shipment. For those of you new to QSL'ing, an SAE is a self addressed envelope and an SASE is a self addressed stamped envelope. It means the QSL manager doesn't have to write out the address on hundreds of envelopes and makes it easier for us.

Any Cards received with insufficient return fundswill be sent in the next Bureau shipment.

CLUB STATION

The Calgary DX Club station VE6AO is affiliated with the Calgary Amateur Radio Association (CARA). The Club Station is available for members and interested individuals to explore operating aspects of amateur radio.

The Calgary DX Club station is outfitted with an awesome array of antenna's and radio equipment. Contesting is a major activity of the DX section, and the club station is an opportunity to practice and develop skills in a competitive radiosport environment.

The Club is funded by member donations as well as grants from the Alberta Lotteries board and the Province of Alberta for the purpose of promoting Amateur Radio as a service to the community. The station stands ready to be used as a highly capableemergency communications facility in times of world disaster.
