Check out the website for details about the Stampede City Award:
www.cara.ampr.org/Stampede.htm For Stampede City Award questions ask Mike at
e-mail VE6TC@rac.ca. General questions: VE6AO@rac.ca
QSL Manager and QSL Question: VE6TN@rac.ca The VE6AO is a beautiful full colour
QSL of the Calgary Stampede rodeo.
Most Direct Cards are answered the same week, unless I am busy in which case
they are answered as soon as I am able to find the time which is usually the
next week.
If you want a direct QSL, please include an SAE and IRC/Green Stamp or an SASE.
A stamped envelope should have a 0.93 cent Canadian stamp for United States and
a Canadian $1.55 for DX. Any Cards received without SAE "may" be
returned direct if I have extra funds in the VE6AO QSL fund to cover the
postage cost, otherwise they will be sent in the next Bureau shipment.
The Calgary DX Club station VE6AO is affiliated with the Calgary Amateur Radio
Association (CARA). The Club Station is available for members and interested
individuals to explore operating aspects of amateur radio.
The Calgary DX Club station is outfitted with an awesome array of antenna's and
radio equipment. Contesting is a major activity of the DX section, and the club
station is an opportunity to practice and develop skills in a competitive
radiosport environment.
The Club is funded by member donations as well as grants from the Alberta
Lotteries board and the Province of Alberta for the purpose of promoting
Amateur Radio as a service to the community.
