Stations that want my qsl, I have just printed a 1000 so you will be receiving a qsl soon.sorry about the delay but we live where there are no printers in the area. June 21,2011 I have been a ham since 1965. My interests are designing antenna systems and to learn how to structure antenna systems that will beat the elements, chasing DX and contesting. I like antennas that are low maintenance and stay up in adverse condtions. The station is an ICOM IC-720A, a Yaesu FT-1000MP and a MLA2500A. I have since upgraded to an Alpha 8410 amplifier. The antenna system is KLM LP7 7 element log antenna up 70 ft on a trylon tower. 80m---dipole at 70 feet. 160m --- dipole up 70 feet and for 40m, a full size delta loop up 70 feet. I like to chase DX and operate in contests. I have been working on my 5band dxcc and I should have that completed when I get my new antennas up at the new location. I have recently installed a TS-870S in a Dodge Caravan for mobile use. The antenna is an old Webster Bandspanner and it seems to work pretty good. I am presently experimenting with a 135 foot rotating tower which I have built myself and I hope to put 2 phased 4 element delta-loop parasitic antennas on a horizontal 50 foot tower section up 135 foot. Also, there is going to be a 4 element 40 meter delta-loopon a 60 foot boom in between the two 20 meter antennas. I hope to make these antennas operate on 7-10-14-18-21-24-28 mhz bands for multi-band use. It is quite an undertaking but I have the tower built and now all need are the antennas and the ring bearings. Last modified: 2012-02-04 06:32:10, 1598 bytes fetched
