About Rajiv Gandhi Foundation

birth in 1908, the Amateur Radio (HAM) has attracted many
eminent personalities as its members. The late Mr. Rajiv Gandhi
was one of the few important personalities to be an ardent and
top-grade amateur radio operators. His love for this exciting
hobby was a result of his commitment to international
brotherhood, co-operation and understanding. He avidly pursued
the interest since 1974, when he received his Amateur Radio
Licence.
The Rajiv Gandhi Foundation has been setup to propogate his
thoughts and ideals to people all over the world. The Foundation
acts as a catalyst and plays a significant role in areas of
national development like promotion of Science and Technology,
literacy and various other projects aimed at aiding the
underprivileged. The Foundation is committed to his dream and
vision for a strong and developed India.
